Beautiful, I am Colored, which doubles as a journal, consists of several short stories about the author's lived experience. Some of the stories are older from previous blog posts or journal entries, but all of the stories are true. Some of the stories are about traumatic experiences like childhood molestation and infidelity. At the end of each story, writing prompts are included because the author sincerely believes in writing out your thoughts and feelings as a form of therapy and healing.
